Exciting Weekend of Hockey
On Friday night our girls battled hard in Chatsworth against TCDMHA Midget C girls.
They finished the game with a 1-1 tie.
Our only goal on Friday was scored by Hannah D. assisted by Megan M. Chatsworth's goal was scored by #27 and assisted by #23. Goaltending for both teams was solid. On Sunday night despite the snow the game went ahead with Grey Highlands. It was yet another intense game and the play moved fast from end to end. Our girls skated well, and you often had to marvel at how they got around the Grey Highlands girls to move it into their end. When Grey Highlands scored the first goal, our girls answered it with their own just minutes later. The final score was 2-2. Hannah D scored our first goal, assisted by Megan M. Our second goal was scored by the same powerful combination. Grey Highlands goals were scored by #13, assisted by #21 & by #20. Once again both teams were well supported by strong goaltending. Way to go Ice Hawks!
