Bantam BB (2018), 2018-19 (Owen Sound Girls Hockey)

Well there was a nice sized crowd in town Tuesday night at the Julie McArthur Regional Rec Center to watch Game #3 of the Provincial Qualifiers between the Walkerton Capitals and the Owen Sound Home Decor & More Bantam BB Ice Hawks wondering if either team will find a way to score a goal in this series. As the story has gone all season between these two teams, it was fast paced and a very tight checking affair.

The Owen Sound Home Decor & More Bantam BB Ice Hawks started their 6 point Play Down series with the Walkerton Capitals on Thursday, Feb 14th in Walkerton and ended up on the bad side of a 4 to 0 loss.

The Owen Sound Bantam BB Home Decor & More Ice Hawks were in Aurora this past weekend to play at the International Silver Stick tournament and came home 5th overall in the 12 team tournament. The team was hoping to make their way into the top 8 of the groups and the team met that goal after a thrilling 3rd game of round robin on Saturday morning!

The Owen Sound Ice Hawks have been without a Bantam Category team for two years now, but after a very successful year in Pee Wee BB last season, they now have enough players graduating into Bantam as well as attracting some other new talent from various systems around the area. Returning to coach again this season is head coach Brett Miller along with returning assistants, Justin Tolton & Kevin Green, Goalie Coach Rob Campbell and Manager/Asst Trainer Crystal Falls.
