Strong Weekend for the Van Loon Girls
Owen Sound Ice Hawks Midget A Playtex Sports girls hockey team has two strong performances at home on the weekend. The first game on Saturday Nov. 15 at the Owen Sound Rec Centre resulted in a 1-1 tie with the Etobicoke Dolphins. Jenah Van Loon scored with some good puck handling moves; assisted by Jamie Van Loon and Madison Ames.
The Ice Hawks came away with a win 2-1 on Sunday against North Halton Twisters. Jamie Van Loon's hard work and hustle resulted in her netting the two goals. Assisting on the first goal was Madison Ames and Morgan Potter and assisting on the second goal was Kelli Bradley. by Gwynne Potter
