Owen Sound Ice Hawks Midget A sponsored by Playtex Sport came out with a 4-4 tie in their season home opener on Sunday October 27 at the Julie McArthur Rec Centre against the Oakville Hornets.
Ice Hawks started the scoring in the 1st period with a goal by Olivia Linklater, assisted by Jaime Van Loon. Oakville responded with two quick goals. Ice Hawks answered with a goal by Morgan Potter, assisted by Callan Yost but Oakville answered with one of their own. The first period ended with a 3-2 lead for Oakville. The second period saw an exchange of goals, with Morgan Potter scoring for Owen Sound assisted by Olivia Linklater and Callan Yost. With 1 second left in the third period Owen Sound was able to tie up the game with Morgan Potter netting her third goal of the game, assisted by Olivia Linklater. Good effort girls!
