Owen Sound Ice Hawks Midget A Playtex Sports girls hockey team faced off against the Etobicoke Dolphins on Saturday Oct 12 at the Mastercard Centre.
The girls came out slow and found themselves down 3-0 in the first 4 minutes of the game. We replied with one in the first period by Janine Vanderschot. After a well fought battle the final score was 4-1.
Our second game of the weekend was Sunday morning against the Orangeville Tigers. We came out strong and battled hard but fell 3-2. Amy Hepburn scored the first goal with assists from Jamie VanLoon and Brianne Becker. Madison Ames and Brianne Becker assisted on our second goal by Morgan Potter. The Orangeville Tigers replied with three goals to take the win. by Gwynne Potter
