Team Staff Registration & Requirements
All team staff must complete the required registration and certifications before being added to a team roster. These requirements are set by OWHA, OHF, and Hockey Canada and must be completed annually unless otherwise noted.
1. RAMP Registration (All Staff)
All team staff must register through the OSGH RAMP Registration system:
- RAMP Registration
- Includes coaches, assistant coaches, trainers, managers, and on-ice helpers
- Must be completed before being added to a roster
2. Vulnerable Sector Check (All Staff)
- Required for all staff on the bench, ice, or in dressing rooms
- Valid for 3 years
- Annual declaration required in off years
- OHF Screening Information
3. Screening & Declaration (All Staff)
- Must be completed through the OHF Screening Portal
- OHF Screening Portal
- Must show as “Approved” before participation in your Spordle profile
4. Respect in Sport (All Staff)
- Complete Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders
- Respect in Sport Program
- Automatically linked to your Hockey Canada profile
5. Gender Identity & Expression Course (All Staff)
6. Hockey Trainer Certification (Trainers Only)
- Must complete Hockey Trainer Certification Program (HTCP)
- Must be valid and current
- Provide proof to team manager
- HTCP Certification
7. Coaching Certification (Coaches Only)
- Must meet OWHA coaching requirements for your level
- Clinics completed through Hockey Canada
- Coaching Requirements
- Submit proof to team manager
Important Deadline
- All requirements must be completed by the OSGH deadline
- Incomplete certifications may result in removal from the roster
Additional Notes
- All certifications must be recorded in your Hockey Canada profile
- Staff must be fully approved before participating
- It is each staff member’s responsibility to remain compliant
