
CURRENT OSGH COVID PROTOCOL
Welcome
back to hockey! Our teams will be very
busy over the next few weeks as they make up games cancelled during the recent pause and as they prepare for OWHA playdowns. COVID continues to be active in our
community. In order to prevent game
cancellations due to illness, it is imperative that we stay home when we are
ill.
For
our home games and practices, we will follow protocol outlined in the City of
Owen Sound Covid-19 Conditions of Use:
1. SCREENING:
Before you leave for the arena, please fill out the screener: CLICK HERE. If you answer YES to any of these questions, do not go to the arena and let your manager know.
2. OWEN SOUND FACILITY PROTOCOL:
· Arrive no earlier than 30 minutes prior to rental.
· Each person 12 (+84 days) and older entering the facility must show proof of vaccination. The QR code can be used digitally or by printing a paper copy. The enhanced certificate can be downloaded at https://covid-19.ontario.ca/book-vaccine/
· Anyone entering the arena should wear a mask (not required to be worn on the ice)
· All patrons must follow physical distancing guidelines and traffic flow signage while in the facility.
· Showers are available to all groups under the conditions that all individuals exit the building 20 minutes following their rental.
· Washrooms within dressing rooms are available for use. Physical distancing in dressing rooms is required and face coverings must be worn.
· All persons entering the facility must provide proof of double vaccination and photo ID.
· Dressing room capacity is 20. Rink side bleachers are available for additional space if required to accommodate physical distancing.
· Absolutely no sharing of food or drinks – each person is required to have individual water bottles properly labelled. These bottles must be spaced 2 meters apart and be properly sanitized after each practice.
· Spitting and blowing the nose without a tissue is prohibited.
· No loitering, all users of the facility must follow the traffic control floor plan.
· Wash your hands frequently with soap and water. Use an alcohol-based sanitizer if soap and water are not available.
· All equipment/training aids brought onto the ice must be cleaned/disinfected after each use.

WHAT IF MY TEAMMATE HAS DEVELOPS COVID SYMPTOMS?
· Players with covid symptoms and their families will isolate per provincial guidelines
· Teammates should self monitor for covid symptoms
· If symptoms develop players should isolate for 5 days from symptom onset and until they have no fever and other symptoms are improving for 24 hours (or 48 hours for gastrointestinal symptoms)
