Registration is now open for U9-U18 teams

2020-2021 Registration Information for U9 to U18 Teams

Season to start the week of September 28th

The registration fee for our ice hawks teams playing in the WOAA for the 2020-21 season is $650 for U9, and $700 for U11, U13, U15 and U18.

Registration fees include

·       Power Skating sessions 

·       Games and practices on NHL sized ice surfaces in new, bright, clean arenas. Two of these surfaces in the same building as our YMCA. 

·       Approximately 2 practices per week3 on 3 / 4 on 4 games to be played with in the organization with the potential to partner with another organization for competitive game play. When allowed within the WOAA

·       Practice Jerseys to keep

·       Check our website for information about programs offering financial assistance 

·       Gate Fees:  In order to keep our volunteers safe, we are not collecting gate fees this season

·       Referee costs have been budgeted into the registration fees this season

Fees: to be paid in 2 instalments, first installment for the first half of the season is due at time of registration (U9 $325, U11-18 $350).  The second half of the season fees will be due on or before November 25, 2020.  We understand that some families may be experiencing financial hardships due to the pandemic.  If these two installments are not possible please contact us and we will work with you to make an alternative payment plan.

Refunds:  Refunds will be issued until November minus administration costs. All other requests will be addressed on a case by case basis.  If hockey is postponed or cancelled due to the pandemic refunds will be prorated and issued.

Player Release: If you did NOT play with the Owen Sound Girls Hockey Group last season, you will require a player release from your home center. Please contact our registrar for more information, as we will not process your registration until we receive this release. 

Non-Resident Fee: If you live outside of the City of Owen Sound, the city requires you to buy a $167.00 non-resident card. Please call City Hall (519-376-4440) to purchase your Non-Resident card ASAP, as proof of this will be required in order to register. NB: Residents of Georgian Bluffs are reimbursed 75% of this fee.
