The Owen Sound Bantam BB Ice Hawks were able to move onto the semi final round of the Lower Lakes Female Hockey League Playoffs after 3 really well played games with the Kitchener Lady Rangers.

Game #1 was in Owen Sound at the Julie MacArhtur Rec Centre back on Saturday Feb 8th and saw Owen Sound out shoot Kitchener 21 to 15 in a 0 to 0 Tie game.  Sophia Fuller would get the shutout playing very solid for Owen Sound between the pipes.

Game #2 was in Kitchener on Saturday February 15th at Sportsworld Arena and saw the Ice Hawks come out super strong putting 10 shots on net in the first period while only allowing the Rangers just 1 shot!

Kenzie Falls would open the scoring in the second period with Chesney Miller and Lyndsay Cumming getting the assists.

Chesney Miller would score an empty netter with 12 seconds left to ice things and the final score was 2 to 0 Owen Sound who also out shot Kitchener 23 to 5 in the game.

Alyssa Barnard was steady in the net as she claimed her 5th shutout in her last 6 games played!

Game #3 was Sunday February 16th in Owen Sound at the Julie MacArthur Rec Centre and the Ice Hawks won the game 4 to 0 while once again out shooting Kitchener this time by 23 to 11.

Keirsten Henrich would open the scoring in the first period with assists going to Jolie McKnight and Julia Sutherland.

Karissa Rasmussen would score in the second off a beautiful pass from Cecily Mallette and Maggie Harvey drawing the other assist.

Rasmussen would get her 2nd of the game on an empty net with incredible effort scoring eventually from her knees as Renayla Campbell is credited with finding her in the Neutral zone from the back end.

Mary Green would pot a another empty net goal for Owen Sound as she took a pass from defence partner Natalie Mole behind the net and iced it the length of the rink right in the center!

Sophia Fuller would back stop the team for the shutout win and series clincher as they move onto to play the Ayr Rockets in the semi Finals Feb 28th, Feb 29th and March 1st.
