Ice Hawks Motivated by Team Canada Gold Medalist
Submitted By OSGH on Fri 02 22, 19
Coach Jeremy challenged the Novice
Rep Ice Hawks to an “800 Puck Shot” challenge leading up to this weekend’s Gretzky
tournament. The reward was a surprise, but we weren’t surprised when these Ice Hawks met and surpassed this
challenge!
Their reward.....
today they spent some time at STOKE Strength and Conditioning with Team Canada player and Olympic medalist Jocelyne Larocque and Becca King from Markham Thunder CWHL. They focused on team building exercises, discussed the importance of Communication, Trust and Effort (on and off the ice) and wrapped up their session learning about the Olympic hockey journey. The cherry on top was getting to hold a gold and silver Olympic medal. It was a pretty fantastic opportunity for these hard working girls! Thanks Jocelyne & Becca for inspiring a new generation of hockey players!
