Inaugural Senior A team earns Exhibition Win
Submitted By Rick Papke on Thu 11 22, 18
The OSGH Senior A team travelled to Orangeville on Saturday Nov 17th for a double header exhibition matchup against the Tigers BB team.

Due to other committments, the roster for the Owen Sound squad was sparse with 11 skaters and a goalie.  These were the first games for this team, however it didn't take long for them to start to gel and produce some offense.

The final score of game 1 was a 3 - 1 win.  Olivia Linklater picked up 2 goals and an assist with Lauren Jones finding the back of the net with a single marker.  Assists went to Katie Bridge, Kimberly Liverance, Madison Arthur, Ona Borges and Amber Debassige.  Game 2 saw Ona Borges and Olivia Linkletter scoring for a 2 - 0 win.  Assist went to Katie Papke, Ona Borges, Madison Arthur and Shannon Myles.  Even with an extended 5 on 3 penalty kill, the team fought to preserve the shutout for Arenn Osadzuk.

Overall it was a great first time on the ice for the team to become familiar with each other and prepare for the upcoming Senior Fall Classic tournament in London this weekend. Special thanks goes to Jeff Gilkinson for leading the team on the bench.
