Ice Hawks Initiation Program: Implementing New Ontario Hockey Federation Cross-Ice Policy
Submitted By Laura Vandrunen on Saturday, September 23, 2017
Beginning in the 2017-18 season the Ontario Hockey Federation is implementing a new policy that mandates cross-ice/half-ice hockey for players that are of initiation age.  How does this affect girls hockey?  We spoke directly to the OWHA Registrar, Pat Nicholls, who stated that "girls that are 6 and under can NOT be rostered to novice teams within the OWHA".

In order to ensure that girls ages 6 and under continue to have the opportunity to play hockey in an all-girls environment, Owen Sound Girls Hockey is keeping registration open to anyone interested in joining our initiation program.  A great value at $299 for two practices per week.  You can register online or contact Laura for more information:  [email protected]
