Development Sessions with Olympic Gold Medalist Katie Weatherston
OSGH is pleased to announce that Katie Weatherston will be running development sessions at some of our Ice Hawks practices next week. Katie is an elite level hockey player that has been involved in hockey for over 22 years, with experience in coaching and instructing.
Katie started playing hockey in Thunder Bay, and her journey led her to play at Dartmouth College, with Team Canada (U22) at the Air Canada Cup in Germany, and then to the Women's National Team. In 2006 she won a Gold Medal with Team Canada in Turin, Italy.
Currently Katie lives in Ottawa, where she is an Assistant Coach with the Nepean JR AA Wildcats girls' team that plays in the PWHL. She is also a motivational speaker, runs team hockey clinics and her own hockey camp.
We are very excited that she will be able to meet and inspire our Ice Hawks!
