Tryouts / Evaluations

OSGH is holding tryout or skill evaluation skates for the groups listed below.  All dates and times can be found on the [Tryouts/Evaluations] page.

Novice
Atom
Peewee LLFHL
Midget A LLFHL


Novice [up to 2009 birth year]
We will be holding a fun skate for this age group to allow new and returning players to meet their new team-mates. There will be no charge for this skate.  New players are welcome to attend.  
 
Cody Feltis will be returning as the Novice C coach.
 
Any players attending who weren't registered with Owen Sound Girls Hockey last year will require a completed permission to skate from their home centre in order to participate. 

Atom
 [2007-8]
We will be holding a couple of skill evaluation sessions to gauge the level of competition this group would be be suited for and interested in.  There will be no charge for these skates.  
 
Interview are currently being held with the coache(s) being announced soon.
 
Peewee [2005-6]
OSGH has a couple of tryout sessions scheduled for any players interested in playing Peewee in the Lower Lakes Female Hockey League at the B thru A level.  There will be a $15 per session fee for these skates.

Bantam [2003-4]
Unfortunately there is not enough interest at this time to move forward with a Bantam LLFHL team.  We will continue to request interested parties to complete our [Expression of Interest Form].   If enough interest is shown we will hold tryouts in late August/early September.
 
Midget A [to 2000 birth date]
OSGH is holding tryouts for a Midget A team that participates in the LLFHL.  This team had a very successful 2016-17 season coming within 1 win from participating in the League championship tournament. Head coach Rob Brown will be returning for the 2017-18 season.  There will be a $20 per session fee with a maximum of $50 for all 4 sessions.
