ATOM B ICE HAWKS FINISH FIRST IN LLFHL CENTRAL WEST!!

Dedication, teamwork, and playing with heart has led our Belfor Property Restoration Atom B team to a first place finish in their LLFHL Central West Division. This is the first team in Owen Sound Girls’ Hockey history to finish their regular season as division champions!

Captain Gillian leads the team on the scoreboard and off the ice.  At her side are Assistant Captains Dani, Courtney, and Kenzie; Forwards Chesney and Julia; Defence Katlyn, Ariawna, Keirsten, Tiegen, and Maddy; and our super goalie, Alexa, making every save possible.  Special thanks to Elise, our Novice C 'sister' who is always willing to help when called up.

 

With only 12 players, two of whom are novice age, not many would have predicted this outcome.  What the girls lack in numbers, they make up in heart.  They are keen to get on the ice, often ready 30 minutes early to get the nod of the arena staff.  They are excellent teammates, encouraging each other with smiles and high fives.  Always eager to learn, they work hard during practices and even harder during games. 

 

They have overcome barriers and handled themselves with poise beyond their years.  Nothing can get these girls down.  If they keep working this hard, there is no telling where it will take them!

 

Thank you and congratulations to all of the Atom B parents and volunteers, as well as team staff Adam C, Adam J, Paula and Crystal for all of your hard work and dedication. 

 

Congratulations, Atom B's!  Your Ice Hawks sister teams and OSGH family are very proud of you and will be cheering you on during the playoffs.  GO HAWKS GO!!
