Atom BB Win Brampton Canadettes Tournament
Submitted By Rick Papke on Wednesday, April 8, 2015
Congratulations to the Atom BB team for winning GOLD and an outstanding performance at the 48th Annual Brampton Canadettes tournament April 3 - 5th, 2015!

What is billed as the Longest Running Female Hockey Tournament in the world (started in 1967) was the landscape for the Atom BB team to rein undefeated through 3 days and 5 games of play.

The team started the weekend Friday with an opening 2-1 win over Oshawa.  Saturday morning brought another close 3-1 game against Whitby.  An afternoon 4-0 win over the North York team sealed their spot in the Semi-Finals on Sunday afternoon.  Again the team played a strong game and came out with a convincing 5-0 victory over the Mississauga Chiefs.

The championship game turned out to be a rematch with the Oshawa Lady Generals.  Much to the delight of the players and families the outcome was the same with a 2-1 win to grab the title of the 2015 Brampton Canadettes BB champions!

Congratulation girls and good luck at Provincials!
