ICE HAWKS TAKE A BITE OUT OF THE SHARKS
The Tamming Law Bantam B Ice Hawks won their first round
playoff series two games to one over the Barrie Sharks. The regular season saw the Sharks come out on
top with a 3-0-1 record against the Hawks out scoring them 10-1 in four games,
but as we all know the real season starts at playoff time.
With balanced scoring, a commitment to defence, and great goaltending the girls showed a total team effort in their series win. With the teams taking wins on each other's home ice, Owen Sound in game one by a score of 3-1 and Barrie winning 3-2 in game two, the stage was set for a winner take all game three where the Ice Hawks would post a 2-0 win. From the drop of the puck the Ice Hawks showed why they were the better team in game as well series, out shooting Barrie in all three games and posting a perfect PK. The coaches and parents are very proud of these girls on how far they have come this season, but remember ladies BE PROUD…NOT SATISFIED! #WE PLAY TOGETHER!
