In their second game vs. Mooretown Lady Flags the Ice Hawks won 3-2. Again Dubosq got the win in net. Wilkie had two, and Emma Cooper had the other.

This win guaranteed Sign street first in their pool and a trip to the quarterfinals Saturday evening.

Sign Streets 3rd round robin game was against the Woodstock Wildcats Saturday morning and won 6-2. Ryann Seaman had 2, Cooper had 2, Shailan Miller had 1, Hill had the other.

In the Quarter Final vs Stratford both teams started off slow not having faced each other all year.

Wilkie opened the scoring with a backhand then Hill scored on a nice pass from the corner from Cooper. Seaman got the third goal off a Miller face off win. Ice Hawks won 3-0 and Dubosq got the shutout.

In the semi final vs Russell Castor River Coyotes the Ice Hawks were in tough. Sign Street’s own Dani Wilkie scored two 2nd period goals and Dubosq stood on her head making 19 saves for the shutout.

Onto the Championship vs. TCDGHA Rebels Sunday afternoon. Yes Grey Bruce was very well represented @ Provincials.

The Rebels opened the scoring banging home a loose puck in the crease in the 1st period.

Sign Street tied the game in the second on a Wilkie back hand from Cooper and McMillan. You had a feeling as we were approaching overtime that it was really going to be hard to score that all important second goal. This Championship game wouldn’t disappoint as it was one epic finish down the stretch. Shots after regulation were 10-8 Rebels. One overtime came and went. The Ice Hawks started to gain momentum. Another overtime then a flood. The girls came back for two more 10 min Overtime periods. The Ice Hawks kept the momentum in the overtime periods.  Shots in OT were 28 to the Rebels 4. Rebels goalie Marissa Ritchie stood on her head. Halfway through the fifth overtime Shailan Miller went cross ice right to left, did a few dekes around two Rebels and backhanded the Provincial game winner short side. The two and half hour game (82 minutes to be precise) had ended. Ice Hawks were victorious and Provincial Champions for the first time in the Organizations history. This game will be remembered for many many years. Congratulations Owen Sound Sign Street Atom C Ice Hawks. What a way to end the season.
