Sign Street Atom C Ice Hawks Win Gold @ 38th Annual Walter Gretzky Tournament
The Owen Sound Sign Street Atom C Ice Hawks won 4-0 to open the tourney. Aimee Dubosq had the shutout with 10 saves. Emma Cooper, Dani Wilkie, Natalie Book and Shailan Miller all scored.
Sign Street then beat the host Brantford Ice Cats 17-0. Dubosq with another shutout. Ryann Seaman, and Dani Wilkie had strong games with 5 goals each. Emma Cooper, Cali Hill had hat tricks. Shailan Miller had one.
In their third game vs Waterloo Owen Sound won 2-0. Dubosq another shutout and Cooper and Wilkie with the goals. This put Owen Sound 1st in the Group out of the 9 Atom C teams in the Division and a bye straight to the Final on Sunday.
In the Championship game vs Mooretown Lady Flags, Sign Street took the Gold winning 5-2. Wilkie had two, Miller, Seaman, and Hailey Feltis had the others. Dubosq got the win in net.
