Shannon Deckers of Remax Novice "C" WOAA Champions
The Shannon Deckers of Remax Owen Sound Novice C Ice Hawks won their first game of their WOAA League Tournament 4-1 over the Mount Forest Rams Saturday morning in Markdale.  Jenna Cranny, Camryn Laycock, Avery Seaman, and Rory Jex scored. Mikayla Wingrove and Madison Feltis shared the win between the pipes.

Their 2nd game was against Kincardine Kinucks. Jex opened the scoring, then Laycock. Cranny got an empty net for insurance. Wingrove got the shutout.
The Final had the same matchup again vs the Kinucks for at least the 17th game head to head this season. In the opening two minutes Jex shot a puck on net but it was redirected in by a Kincardine player. The second goal was scored by Laycock on another Kinucks player redirection. The Kinucks came back and scored from behind Owen Sounds net, it went off Feltis’s left pad and in. Both teams at this point thinking the puck had its own eyes and agenda in this championship game.
Avery Seaman scored the insurance goal late in the third period on a nice passing play from Leah Cooper and Jenna Cranny. The Ice Hawks won the WOAA League Championship 3-1.  Feltis got the win making some key saves throughout the game.
This team has had quite a season going 16-0 in League play and 8-0 in playoffs, now winning the League. They’re heating up at the right time, especially with Provincials next weekend in Vaughan. Best of Luck ladies!
