2 Tourneys 2 Championship Finalists Medals in 9 Days!
Our Shannon Deckers of Remax Novice Rep Team has been on a tear lately.  They've had 9 games in 9 days and throw a practice in there too.  First playing 4 in Owen Sound @ the 2nd Annual Northern Lady Lights Classic where they were finalists and now this weekend in Woolwich at the Wild's annual Shootout Tournament.

In their first game vs Twin Center Hericanes the girls battled hard to take a 3-1 Victory.  Madison Feltis got the win in net. Camryn Laycock, Rory Jex, and Rylan Henry got the goals.

In their 2nd game vs the host Woolwich Wild Owen Sound won 7-0. Jex was on fire scoring 6 goals. Avery Seaman had the other. Mikayla Wingrove had the Shutout.

The third game was a big 6-3 win over Haldimand Riverrats. Madison Feltis got the win in the pipes.

Jenna Cranny and Jex each had two. Megan Bumstead and Laycock had the others.

The semi final on Sunday morning was a 1 vs 4 matchup and again was against Twin City. It was a close one right down to the third period when Owen Sound opened the scoring with Bumstead getting a huge game winner. Camryn Laycock added another later in the period. Wingrove had another shutout.

In the Championship game the Ice Hawks faced Haldimand Riverrats and lost 1-0.

The River Rats scored mid 2nd period on a breakaway wrist shot to the top shelf far side.

Ice Hawks outshot them 15-9 but just couldn’t beat their goalie. This was definitely a battle of the goalies with both making several great saves. Madison Feltis played great between the pipes for this one.
