Semi Final Knockout from LLFHL Playoffs
The Owen Sound PeeWee BB Ice Hawks were eliminated in the semi finals from the Lower Lakes Female Hockey League playoffs when they lost two straight games to the North Simcoe Lightning.

The series was fairly tight as it also was in regular season when the Ice Hawks handed them 2 of the only 3 losses Simcoe saw during season play.

The first game was in Midland and saw them lose by a score of 4 to 1.

It wasn't a good start to the game and the kids got down early in the game.

It was 3 to 0 early in the 3rd period, when we finally got a rebound goal on the power play by Natlaie Tolton from Chesney Miller & Lexi McMullen.

Simcoe would find the net once more and the final was 4 to 1.

Game #2 saw the game in Owen Sound at the Julie MacArthur Rec Center.

Owen Sound scored in the first period when Natlaie Tolton put in another one with the only assist going to Chesney Miller.

Allysa Barnard stood tall in this one and almost stole the game for Owen Sound as she was very busy.

The Ice Hawks took the game into the 3rd period with the one goal lead but gave up 2 goals late in the game and never recovered losing 2 to 1.

It was a great run for the kids with still lots of hockey to look forward too, 4 more tournaments including Provincials to work hard to prepare for in April!

Congrats on a nice run in the playoffs girls!
