Three for the Owen Sound “Grey Bruce Laser Vision Centre” Midget A Ice Hawks, after
defeating the Kitchener Lady Rangers two straight in LLFHL Playoff action.
The best of three series began at home at the JMRRC on Sunday February 26th. Both the Kitchener and Owen Sound squads battled hard throughout the game and it was really looking like the game was going to end in a scoreless tie. But in the dying minutes of the third period the Hawks were able to sneak one past the Kitchener goalie and hold on to take the game 1:0.
On Thursday March 2nd the Lady Hawks travelled to the Activa Sportsplex in Kitchener for game two of the best of three series. After a bit of a slow start, the Hawks came out strong scoring three goals in the third period and sealed their spot in the next round with the 4:1 win.
Round Three will begin on the road for the Ice Hawks on Tuesday March 21st against the Waterloo Ravens. BEST OF LUCK LADIES!!
