Bantam A girls finished with a Tournament WIN!!
The Bantam A girls spent March 1 - 3 at the Nottawasaga Inn, taking part in the March Madness tournament, hosted by the Clearview Ice Cats.
They returned from their tournament as Champions!

The Ice Hawks played well in round robin play, and were sitting in second place after their first three games.
Friday's first opponent was St. Catharines, and with a goal from Gabby Jex, assisted by Delaney Pritchard, the girls finished with a 1 to 0 win to start the day.
The second game was a tough one against Cornwall.  Kylie Maue was the only scorer, with some help from Olivia Linklater and Erica Vokes.  The final score was a 2 to 1 loss.

After some evening social time, the girls returned to the rink for a second day to face off against the Hamilton Hawks. It was a good match-up, because only one goal was scored, and Brie Becker got the lone marker, unassisted.  Final score was 1 to 0, and Paige once again had a shutout.  Nicely done!!
After all three games, the Hawks found out that they would face the Mount Forest Rams on Sunday for the championship game.  With no losses in the tournament, Mount Forest would make them earn the championship.
Sunday, the Owen Sound squad showed up to play!  The scoring opened with a nice goal by Delaney Pritchard, assisted by Erica Vokes, then a 2nd goal solidified the win.  In a fight to the net, Alexis Martin made a great shot past the goalie, assisted by Kylie Maue and Olivia Linklater.
The girls were presented with their trophy, and medallions to take home with the win.
Mount Forest had to settle for their first loss of the tournament, but decided that they needed a re-match, which will take place March 17, in Mount Forest.
