2018-19 Novice Rep (2018) - Shannon Deckers of Remax Novices Bring home Silver @ Provincials!

OWHA Provincials in the GTA: The Shannon Deckers of Remax Novice C team won 2-1 over Gloucester to begin the tourney.  Madison Feltis got the win the pipes. Rory Jex and Camryn Laycock had the goals. 

In their 2nd game vs. Lucan Irish, Owen Sound was looking for revenge from November when they lost 5-0 in the Ice Hawks Tourney Final.
Lucan scored in the 2nd minute of the game. Avery Seaman responded in the 2nd. Lucan then scored with 49 seconds to go. They added an empty net to win it 3-1. 
In their third game vs Mooretown Owen Sound won 7-1. 
In their quarter Final game vs Kincardine Shannon Deckers of Remax won 4-2. 
In the semi final on Sunday morning Owen Sound faced Clarence Rockland Lightning and won 3-1 with the help of Rory Jex and her hat trick. This setup a rematch with Lucan for the fourth time this season. This time it was for a Provincial Championship. Rylan Henry opened the scoring for Owen Sound. Lucan would get the next 3 and Jex added one later. 3-2 Final and a Provincial Silver. 
The Novices would like to congratulate the Owen Sound Ice Hawks Atom Team on their big win and Provincial Gold. 
The Novices finished their year with a record of 42-10-1.  Silver @ Silver Stick Tourney, Silver at the Owen Sound Tourney, Silver at Provincials, Silver at Woolwhich Tourney, and a Gold in the WOAA League Championship.
