In His Honour...
As a tribute and in support of his family, on February 14, 2015 all Owen Sound Ice Hawks Teams will wear an orange ribbon to honour Assistant Coach Kevin Paupst.
Kevin was an assistant coach with our Bantam C team and was an active body within the Ice Hawks organization over the last several years. He passed away suddenly on February 6, 2015.
Orange was Kevin's favourite colour and as a tribute to him, his Bantam C team will wear his orange ribbons on their helmets for the remainder of their season. On February 14, 2015, all teams within the Ice Hawks organization will join our Bantams in this tribute to Kevin by tying the orange ribbon to their helmets. We will skate united as one...in his honour.
His daughter Vanessa is a member of the Ice Hawks Alumni and his younger daughter Mercedes is a current player on our Bantam C team. A trust fund has been established for these girls and on February 14, 2015 all 50/50 ticket proceeds collected at our home games will be donated to their trust fund.
It is both a pleasure and an honour to be part of such a caring and supportive organization - Owen Sound Girls Hockey. To our hockey families, we thank you for your kindness and for your support.
