The Mar Wind-Wiarton Golf Club Owen Sound Bantam 'A' were off to Detroit this past weekend!
On Friday, November 14, 2014 the Bantam girls travelled to Detroit, Michigan. Their first game was against the Kitchener Lady Rangers which ended up in a tie 1-1. The second game of the day was against Troy Sting which the Owen Sound team lost 6-4, goals were scored by Hillary Holyome, Rachel Mallette, Katelynn Lavergne and Kiandra Martin; assists were from Lauren Radbourne (2) and Katelynn Lavergne.
On Saturday, the girls played the Chicago Hawks and won 7-0, goals scored by Hillary Holyome, Kyrah Wesley, Kassey Mustard (2), Avery Wettlaufer, Jamie Carr and Mckenzie Davis; assists were by Hillary Holyome, Katie Papke, Rachel Mallette, Kassey Mustard, Lauren Radbourne and Becca Martindale. Emily Roney had the shutout honours. Their second game of the day was against the Oakville Hornets which the Owen Sound Team lost 4-0.
